Freakonomics

Summary

This is a fantastic book, Levitt and Dubner take the art observation to a whole new level to look at what drives human behaviour. Master exponents of the application of "what it is vs. what it means" they dissect the policies of city planners, politicians, and drug lords and in so doing separate the apparent causes of makre shifts to what the actual causes are. Brilliant reading.

SPIN Selling

Summary

Rackham constructs a very simple sales framework based on the 4 principles of Situation, Problem, Implication, and Need, and then shows how to apply it. Best used for non-obvious sales, SPIN selling helps vendors uncover where the real value of what their selling lies for their customers and in so doing helps create deeper relationships and better offerings.

Recommended For

Anyone trying to work out how to sell something new to a customer who is likely to question why they need the product / service being offered.
